Writing
Opinion Writing and Greek/Latin Roots

Reading
In reading we are finishing up Unit 5 on comparing and contrasting text structure and characteristics of the genre Myths. We have begun the process of breaking down and writing Text Dependent Analysis on multiple stories. Throughout the reading block we continue to work on multiple reading elements/strategies to enhance our comprehension when we are reading.

Mathematics
Working on Geometry with shapes and reviewing concepts of math that they have learned throughout the year.
Science
In Science we will be conducting and exploration on pillars. What it takes to construct pillars and the strength they need to with stand as much weight as possible. This is connected to how our thirteen colonies had to come together with strength to create our country.

sOCIAL sTUDIES
In Social Studies we are finishing up our projects on the 13 colonies. We will present our discoveries to our peers. We will begin a unit on the Declaration of Independence. Exploring the reason why our colonist felt so strong on creating this document which led us to the American Revolutionary War.
